WOW24 is the lexicon currently used at our club. This lexicon is available on apps such as Hoot and ULU (available from the Mac App Store). A text file of the entire lexicon can be found on the WGPO website.
Information For Players New To Competitive Scrabble

We recommend that you come at least 15 minutes early so that we can go over the basic mechanics of a competitive Scrabble game, including use of the game clock and adjudicating challenges.

To make your first experience less intimidating, we provide the following advantages to new players:

  • Use of the Cheat Sheet for tournament players during play.
  • Free challenges: you will not be penalized if you challenge an opponent's play and the play proves to be acceptable.
  • No overtime penalty (normally 10 points/minute) if you take more than 25 minutes to make all of your plays.

If, at any time, you have a questions about rules or procedures, don't hesitate to ask for an explanation.
