2017 Vancouver Scrabble® Tournament

Mandatory check in 8:30-9:00 A.M. Games will start once check-in and announcements are complete. If you are running late, please contact Miriam Gregory (604-352-2294). If you do not show up or call during check-in time, you may be removed from the tournament, and your entry fee will not be refunded.

Players will be placed into divisions of 8 based on their NASPA rating on April 4, 2018; division sizes may be modified at the director's discretion if the total number of players is not a multiple of 8. Unrated players will be placed at the director's discretion. A Collins division will be offered if a minimum of 4 paid entries are received by the registration deadline.

8 Rounds -- Round Robin + King of the Hill, with Gibsonization. For any divisions with more or fewer than 8 players, pairings will be determined by the director.

$50 CDN. Registration deadline is April 3, 2018. No refunds once play begins.

April 7th & 8th, 2018

Sunday April 8th: rounds 9-14, starting at 9:00 A.M.

Three TWL divisions, one Collins Division:

• Division A -- open to all players.
• Division B -- restricted to players with a NASPA rating under 1500.
• Division C -- restricted to players with a NASPA rating under 1100.
• Division CSW -- open to all players; Collins lexicon with 5-point challenge rule.

NASPA ratings on April 4, 2018 will be used to determine which divisions a player will be permitted to play in.

14 Rounds -- Modified Swiss + King of the Hill, with Gibsonization.

Entry fees will be determined by the date when payment is received, not when it is sent. If you are mailing your entry, please allow extra time for your entry to arrive to avoid paying extra. Registration deadline is April 3, 2018. No refunds once play begins.

Please bring Deluxe Scrabble® Boards, clocks, and tournament tiles if you have them.

This tournament is sanctioned by the North American Scrabble Players Association; you must be a member in order to play.
